Steely Blue Cushion cut Sapphire 4.51ct

I’ve seen a lot of gems, and I specialize in the unique… But I’ve never seen anything quite like this one! The modified cushion cutting, by local cutter Greg Brancati, is absolutely phenomenal in its artistry. The way the light dances and reflects off of the large facets showcases the color zoning (darker and lighter areas in the gem) and allows the sapphire to appear multi-hued. The large shape is perfect, basically begging, to be a statement ring or necklace! I want to be this sapphire when I grow up!
