When my friend Sue brought me a chiclet (small) watch we knew it would be tough to sell as is, even though it was brand new in the box… but it was too pretty to melt! I envisioned upcycling the diamond portions of the watch into a lovely pair of earrings, and when I saw these lovely Quartz “rock crystal” briolettes I l knew they would be a great match! I love how the angles of the earrings tie together with the sparkly gems!
These upcycled earrings are 14k white gold. The Longines brand watch is circa 1957 and the case maker was Kaspar and Esh, notable New York jewelers at the time. The earrings contain approximately.47 total carat weight in single cut diamonds, SI-1 clarity and F-G color
The quartz briolettes weigh 21.74 total carat weight and were mined in Russia.
