Pear Shaped Blue Sapphire 1.57ct

I purchased this lovely blue sapphire from Johannes Orstradius, a Swedish gem vendor focusing on Mine-to-Market sapphires (meaning tracking the source and rough all the way through to the final product). I’m lucky to be in a small group of folks he sells to before offering his gems to gem houses/vendors, so not only do I get first pick of amazing sapphires, I get amazing prices as well since Im purchasing directly from the mine/cutter! I fell in love with the cornflower blue color of this gem, and the nice fat pear shape, which I can envision as an amazing ring or pendant! Heat treated.
