Leslie and Jason's Waterfall Wedding Rings

Leslie and Jason's Waterfall Wedding Rings

I met Leslie and Jason at Office Xpats on Bainbridge island where I meet with island clients once a week. They found out I am a jeweler and turns out they needed wedding bands! They had a plethora of jewelry from family and first I helped them sort the costume from genuine and valuable jewelry.
Then we decided what pieces could be used as trade for their rings.
They also told me an amazing story about how a near death experience in Banff at a waterfall led Jason to decide that Leslie was "the one" and that he wanted to propose. He proposed a few years later, back at the same waterfall, and she said "yes"! So, this waterfall has a lot of meaning to them, and we decided to incorporate that into the bands, with a circle of water flowing all the way around the ring. The top of the ring features raw natural diamonds in lots of shapes, colors, and sizes. Those are the "boulders" at the top of the mountain, and the water flows out of them down the ring, with texture mimicking the water spray at the bottom. Then it flows into a stream, turbulent at first, then gently forming into a pool which slips under the boulders and back around the ring again and again.
After selecting the diamonds and trying out a few wax iterations, Jason and Leslie (and Jasper the giant puppy) came in to cast their rings! It was so fun having them see the rings in metal for the first time!
Here's to you Jason and Leslie and your amazing future!
