Laria And Cyrus

Laria and Cyrus found me through an old island connection. Even though they live in Portland, they spend time in Seattle, and were willing to make the trek up to have their rings made! We made good use of each trip, scheduling gem selections, wax models, and fittings as well as utilizing video chats and custom YouTube videos so that no matter what, they felt right at home at Glitter and Gold!
They selected an awesome hexagon shaped Montana sapphire for Laria’s ring, and a cool striped baguette Australian sapphire for Cyrus’ ring. The designs were simple, but the process of getting the wax models just right, and the subtle aspects of each ring make them super special and unique to them!
They were still able to come up for the casting party, where they melted the gold for each other’s rings. A lovely natural 18k white gold for Cyrus, with its creamy white color and durable shine. Laria opted for a pretty 18k yellow gold to complement the sapphire, and they both look stunning together.
And… we got to do a sapphire mining party together too! What fun!
I loved working with Laria and Cyrus, and can’t wait to visit with them next time they are in town!
