Jonathan and Sarah's Lightning Band

Like a bolt of lightning! That's how Jonathan described meeting Sarah.... So the idea came up to put lightning on their rings, hand engraved, and then a modest sized diamond to catch the light and sparkle.
We played with a bunch of lightning bolt images, and also with diamond placement, and after sending some initial designs, it was them who found this great photo of a lightning bolt and it was off to the races!
Sarah's engagement ring was also due for a wedding band, and we made a lovely shadow band, also with the same lightning bolt modified to fit the curves of the ring. The low profile and curves allow the side detail on her ring to be visible, which was something that was important to her.
The set is a great example of rings that don't "match", but rather complement each other and definitely belong together... hmmm... get it?
