TThis gorgeously hand carved lavender amethyst from Idar Oberstein Germany (a world famous gem cutting region known for it's artistry and quality) is a piece that is meant to be seen from every angle. It has an overall heart shape with amazingly crisp, extra high polish facets on one half that contrast beautifully with the softly textured flower carved into the other. The facets on the back come to a clean, sharp point, and give the flat face of the gem a beautiful sense of depth.  

This large and relatively deep gem is suitable for a pendant or an objet d'art. It measures 19.5mm by 17.5mm and weighs 15.67 carats.
