Mary Elizabeth is not only a talented maker, but she is also an excellent listener. When you have a good idea about what you want, she has the means to make it come to life! She will also "give it to you straight" and is not the type of businessperson to upsell or finagle you into spending more than you want. I highly recommend her for custom work and look forward to the chance to work with her again!

Special people step up to the challenge of special occasions. Mary E. are those people. I was looking for someone to create a unique gift for my wife for our 50th wedding anniversary. My idea was to present her with a golden gift for our golden anniversary, but who to bring the idea to fruition. I miraculously found Glitter and Gold and presented my idea. My wife loves frogs, so what better than a frog of 24K solid gold set on a heart shaped lily pad. Mary jumped at the idea and gleefully went about bringing my idea to reality. We loved working with Mary on my engagement/wedding ring -- a blue sapphire wrapped by redwood trees and hiking trails. We came to Mary (recommended by another friend couple with really cool geometric fractal rings) with only vague ideas and she worked with us to make something personal, beautiful, and unique. I'm not a tattoo person but I imagine this is a similar (but less pokey) experience -- working with a talented artist on something meaningful to proudly wear on your body for a long time

I have an abnormally shaped engagement ring, and wanted a wedding band that somehow fit around it. I was told by multiple jewelers that the band I wanted could not be created. I was brought to see Mary at Glitter and Gold through friends' recommendations, and she went above and beyond my expectations. I LOVE my wedding band and it fits perfectly around my engagement ring. PLUS I was able to bring in my step-daughters to the casting. They loved it, and I was thrilled that they were part of the process of casting my wedding band!! It was very special, and I look at my ring every day with love. I couldn't recommend this place more.
